Led by Santa Claus, his elves, and entertainers, The Worth Avenue Association and Palm Beach Mayor, Gail Coniglio, welcome the holiday season with an annual parade featuring a fabulous “Seminole Hard Rock Winterfest Boat” that concludes with the signature, spectacular Christmas Tree Lighting Event, signifying the unofficial start of Palm Beach’s magical shopping season. The parade begins at 6pm, with the flip of a switch that lights the magnificent 40-foot tree happening at 6:29 pm. Make sure to get there early and queue up the little tykes for a turn on Santa’s magical throne.
Central Broward Regional Park will host a new and spectacular family friendly event this holiday season, the Chinese Lantern Festival, produced by Hanart Culture.
The 8-week Lantern Festival is a totally immersive experience among Chinese culture, multi-hued “The Wild” animal lantern displays, live entertainment, authentic Chinese food, hand-made gifts by Chinese craftspeople, and more. The Festival doors open Tuesday, November 21 at 5:30 p.m. and run for an 8 week period, Wednesday through Sunday evenings, until Monday, January 15, 2018.

The Annual Plywood Regatta is a two-day event where middle, high school, and college students will attempt to build sea-worthy vessels on Saturday, April 14th using simple hand-tools and only a limited set of supplied materials.
