The Ball is the most elegant of our festivities and by far the highlight of Fort Lauderdale’s social season. Shoreline Decorating Extravaganza presented by Universal Property and Casualty Insurance Co.
This festive event encourages the shoreline community to show their holiday spirit while creating a beautiful backdrop for the Boat Parade aboard the M/Y Floridian Princess and view all the beautifully decorated homes & businesses along the New River in Downtown Fort Lauderdale to the Intracoastal Waterway ending at Lake Santa Barbara in Pompano Beach along the Parade Route. NO TICKETS are available for sale aboard this luxury yacht.

This Winterfest Celebration welcoming our 2010 Grand Marshals, Commodore Frank Herhold and honorary Captain includes dignitaries and celebrities who join us to celebrate. Winterfest style. RECEPTION BY INVITATION ONLY.
This fabulous reception is the prelude to the parade. Many local VIP’s, dignitaries, sponsors will be on hand to welcome this year’s celebrity Grand Marshal. Fort Lauderdale’s Mayor, Jack Seiler, will give the Grand Marshal a key to our beautiful city and Riverwalk, Inc. will present a brick in his/her name(s) for the Riverwalk Celebrity Walk of Fame on the banks of the staging area of the Parade.

Seminole Hard Rock Winterfest Boat Parade
Starting on the New River in Fort Lauderdale and traveling to the Intracoastal north to Lake Santa Barbara in Pompano Beach
The 39th Annual Boat Parade will start on the New River as it travels East to the Intracoastal Waterway as it continues North to Lake Santa Barbara in Pompano Beach. This year’s theme, “That’s Entertainment” embraces the beauty of our waterways with the music and excitement of every era. From the vast numbers of private boats to the giant showboats and corporate megayachts, the 100 parade entrants, will be adorned with hundreds of thousands of lights, music, entertainment, decorations, celebrities, musical groups, beauty queens and many other exciting entries expected to be viewed by over one million spectators.

The Seminole Tribe of Florida will host an area withIndian arts, crafts, birds of prey and authentic Indian dancing. Experience the Florida Panthers’ Slap Shot Game, Florida Marlins Prize Wheel, Mermaids, Baseball Throw, climb the Rock Wall, Bounce House, Sun-Sentinel’s Kids’ Town and much more! You may walk in to Birch State Park for a general admission fee of just $3 pp. are invited to experience all the pre-parade activities but the Grandstands are gated so you will not be permitted inside without a ticket. Walk-ins will need to bring a chair or blanket and save your spot on the southern end of the park near the seawall for optimum viewing. There will be no unauthorized vehicles permitted inside the park the day of the parade. Park and Ride service is BACK with the BUSES and convenient parking at Memorial Park. For each grandstand Ticket purchased, you will also receive a voucher for a Florida Panther’s game in January. Special appearances by Stanley C. Panther, Billy the Marlin and Santa! This event includes a magnificent buffet and cocktails. The area is also host to the television show and our boat parade judges. This area is Winterfest’s way of saying thank you to all of our Board of Directors and Sponsors. By invitation only.
