This past August, the Ms. Latina International organization had the distinct pleasure of traveling to the

Bahamas for the Miss Universe Pageant. We were very fortunate enough to meet Donald Trump. When the girls mentioned about him being the Grand Marshall for one of your events, his eyes lit up, and that was all we needed to say. From that point on, we received the royal treatment.  He stated that of all events he has attended, that Winterfest was one of the most beautiful and well organized.  I have always said, that if it were not for all of you, my organization would not be where it is today.  If you asked to take over my house for an event, I would not hesitate.  It is worth the publicity alone. Just from that meeting in the Bahamas, he now wants Ms. Latina Intl. to continue on to Miss Universe.   Again, I wanted to thank you ladies for all that you have done for us, and continue to do. I do not know what I would have done without Winterfest.  Looking forward to the 2009 season.

2007 Winterfest New River Viewer

Hello: I would like to compliment Winterfest on the arrangments for the 2007 Boat Parade. Since the route changed this year, unfortunately, we were unable to watch the parade from our yearly spot at the 15th Street Fisheries. I easily went to your website and found the information I needed to make a "Plan B". We easily parked at War Memorial, waited for the swiftly moving shuttle service and were quickly driven to our destination. We were pleasantly surprised by the vendors and we easily found a waterfront seat.. All for $5 parking and 2 x $3 shuttle tickets. I have no complaints. Kudo's to the City of Fort Lauderdale bus service and Parks and Recreation. We had a great time! Thank you! - Carmelita

Just a quick note to say that this was the best boat show experience yet - keep the route through the heart of the city. We really enjoyed seeing the small vessels close up and the whole town came alive. It was Fort Lauderdale living at its best! Perfect evening - job very well done to all of you! I know a lot of work went into organizing the new route this year but, in the 19 years I have been in the parade, this was absolutely the easiest and most efficient staging ever!   Congratulations again! 2006 Winterfest Parade Entry

The Original Florida Follies came into our first entry in the Parade with insecurities and no small amount of apprehension. As spectators of this hallmark event for several years, we were aware of the level of professionalism necessary to travel in this company.

Upon arrival at the Captain’s Meeting at the Hard Rock on December 11, we were somewhat intimidated, but, thanks to your expertise and understanding you walked us through the process and put us right at ease. We left that meeting fully informed and with all the contacts and pointers we needed to participate in what turned out to be a truly great experience - including winning the Best in Theme award for our size and category!

2005 Winterfest Student Art Contest

I wanted to thank you for coordinating the great event at Young At Art on 4/26/05.
Our daughter was the BellSouth cover winner from St. Coleman Catholic School. I want you to know how much we enjoyed being able to be part of such an exciting opportunity! Having her work featured on the cover of the phonebook was such a nice experience for her and made her feel so proud! It was wonderful to see her enjoy all the special recognition that you and your group coordinated so beautifully. I know this high light will be a lasting memory for her to treasure.

2004 Winterfest Deco Sail-away Contest at Publix Supermarkets

My name is Toni C. and I was the winner of the grand prize for your recent contest.  First all, let me apologize for being so late in thanking all of you - I have never won anything in my life!!!!  The gift bags are fantastic - the passes to SeaWorld are great  - my family has never been to the theme park and are planning to go this summer - but the absolutely BEST part was the round trip tickets on Southwest airlines.  They will enable myself and my older daughter, Nicole, to visit my younger daughter, Suzi, in Pearl Harbor (yes, I know they are only good in the continental US, so we can take a separate flight from California to Honolulu). 

I have not seen my younger daughter in almost three years - before she left for deployment in Iraq for nine months.  She is in the US Navy and serves aboard the USS O-Kane, a destroyer based out of Pearl Harbor.  She and the rest of her crew mates took part in "Baghdad Rain" and I believe she was the only female on her ship firing missiles. 

As a single mother, I haven't been able to afford to fly to Hawaii to see her so this is going to be fantastic, and I have the Winterfest Contest to thank for it. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!

My sincerest congratulations to our own Lisa Scott-Founds for the great leadership that she has shown this past year that was all culminated last night in the best parade in our history. It was a joy watching the Winterfest staff and volunteers professionally overcoming unseen "challenges" that would have shaken 'normal' people. However, as a nearly a million people saw in person, it was fabulous. It is a pleasure to be involved with such a great group of people. Great job Lisa, Kathy Keleher, Dawn Read, Chair Nancy Daly, Parade Chair Ryan Campbell, Marriott Marina Team, WSVN, Comcast, Seminole Hard Rock, JM Lexus, Winterfest Board, and all the Winterfest sponsors and volunteers.
